Our Track Record of Excellence
Full Scale Target Remodel
NCV Telecom LLC was awarded a low voltage full scale remodel of a Super Target located in Lake Worth, FL.
We worked hand in hand with the General Contractor (GC) and other trades who were part of the remodel i.e. Plumbing, Carpenters, Electricians, etc. Our responsibility included running of building backbone Fiber Optic Multi-Mode cabling from the Main Cross Connect (MC) to the Various Telephone Rooms (TR), and Telephone Enclosures (TE), throughout the facility. This included termination labeling
and testing.
We were also responsible for subsystem 1 Cat 6 cabling which was run from the MC and the different TRs, and TEs, to a number of devices throughout the store. This list includes but is not limited to Access Points, IP Cameras, Registers, Scales, Thin clients, Desktop computers, EMS systems, and much more. All cabling was terminated, labeled, and tested.
We installed a new IP sound system which
included all wiring and installation of speakers. We rebuilt the Equipment room with ladder racks and Cabinets. We had 6 technicians onsite throughout the remodel and a lead technician who was
responsible for acquiring all prints of the remodel i.e. Architectural, mechanical, telecommunications, Plumbing, and Structural and decipher if there were differences between our prints and the various trades and reconcile differences in weekly meetings.
We worked with all the trade foremen/women, GCs and Target Executives working out problems in real time while onsite. We were responsible for determining cable pathways while adhering to all NEC and local applicable codes during the installation. All technicians onsite have at least 8 years’ experience while onsite while the lead technician has over 20 years in the trade.
Walmart UPC Move and Remodel
We were rewarded with a Walmart remodel in which subsystem 1 cabling to all devices, scales, Access Points, Thin clients, desktops, etc. was to be upgraded to Cat 6 cabling.
Furthermore, backbone Fiber Optic Multi-Mode cabling was run and terminated from the Equipment Room (ER) to the various Telephone Rooms (TR) and Telephone Enclosures (TE) throughout the Walmart facility. Also included in this project was the move of the ER and all equipment including Routers, Switches, and Servers from the back of the store to the front.
On this particular job site, we had 5 techs all with at least 5 years or more experience as well as 2 Lead Techs who both have over 15 years in the industry. The lead techs worked with AT&T regarding the relocation of the Demarcation point as well as other trades who maintained services in the ER in which would be moved. Techs were given prints at the beginning of the project and were to determine acceptable cable pathways which adhered to BICSI standards as well as all local codes and regulations.
Lead techs were project managers and worked with Walmart Executive Management, The General Contractor GC, as well as other trades assuring a smooth transition with the least amount of interruption to store as possible while changing their network infrastructure.
On the night in which all switches, routers and servers were moved Techs were responsible for installation of new software for IBM servers as well as upgrading the Routers and Switches on site with new parameters for firewalls as well as verifying all devices and mac addresses matched the same port and configuration parameters set by the Walmart Network Operations Center (NOC).
